The landfill Collada de Beixalís is suitable to accommodate only waste type 170504-Earth and other than those specified in the code 170503 stones, as classified by the National Waste Catalogue published in the BOPA nº 37 of the year 17 date of April 27, 2005 and according to law 25/2004 of 14 December on Waste (BOPA nº3, year 17 of 12 January 2005).

The implementation of the landfill Collda de Beixalís project has been divided into three phases of varying duration, from which include the following works:

Previous work conditioning landfill
At this early stage, you must make the necessary access to separate it into two sections. A first paved section that will go from the platform entrance to the field where the scale and technical watchman booth will be located, to the zone of provisional collection of land. A second stretch of road that begins in the collection and ending at elevation expected for the construction of the green wall closing the landfill. During this phase, carried out the first phase of deforestation, affected by the work described above.

Work management and operation of the landfill
Once built the green wall closure, it will be pouring material to achieve the desired geometry, which provides for two changes in slope, from an initial slope of approximately 27° angle to a second slope of about 15° to occupy the central part more landfill capacity, which will lead to a higher platform tilted about 5°. Moreover, it provides for a central channel off of surface water that collect the water from the entire surface of the landfill through driving grooves and a trench along the course of existing gravel pack stream acting as basal cross drainage (this must be done in a single shot before you start pouring land).

When you have reached the final geometry of each batter, it shall be the placement of the nets following the specifications laid down specifications, as well as the laying of topsoil.

Landfill closure work
This last phase will cover essentially the environmental restoration work, which aim to restore and environmental adaptation to minimize the impact of the work and facilitate the progressive integration of the landfill to its natural environment, as well as conducting a recreation area platform.

The green wall has a maximum height of 16.5 m and a length of 120 m in plan.

The spillway capacity is 648.322 m3 uncompacted, or approximately 1.025.483 tonnes.
